18 “discipleship” words from Acts 18
Written by Brian Jennings, Posted in Your Church
Paul, Priscilla, Aquila and Apollos bled discipleship. They embodied its three stages: be fed, feed self and feed others. Acts 18:23-28, which details their work together, uses no fewer than eighteen words/phrases bursting with discipleship implications. If you want to write a book about discipleship, the following would make great chapters:
Spending time
Traveled
Strengthening all the disciples
A learned man with a thorough knowledge of the Scripture
Instructed in the way of the Lord
Spoke with fervor, boldly
Taught about Jesus accurately
Baptism
Heard
Invited him to their home
Explained the way of God more adequately
Go
Encouraged
Wrote a letter
Welcomed
Great help
Vigorously refuted in debate
Proving that Jesus was the Messiah

What a great observation! You write the book, I’ll buy it!
